Description

Nanoessentials’ approach of using carbon quantum dots (CQDs) doped with essential oils represents an innovative strategy in enhancing antibacterial efficacy through synergistic effects. Carbon quantum dots are nanoscale carbon-based particles that exhibit unique properties like high surface area, good biocompatibility, which make them excellent carriers and enhancers for bioactive compounds. When combined with essential oils, these properties of CQDs help improve the antibacterial potential of essential oils through several mechanisms. Nanoessentials utilizes synergism between Carbon Quantum Dots (CQDs) doped essential oils to potentiate antibacterial activity by 20-40 times.

These essential oils based activated phytochemicals are potentiated further with ELVITATM technology which are the Quantum Herbal Nanoinfused (QHN) nanoparticles with the help of Phytosomes, potentiated herbal biomolecule for its efficacy. Phytosomes are a promising delivery system for enhancing the intracellular uptake of essential oils, which may improve their effectiveness against intracellular pathogens like Mycoplasma and certain bacteria that can invade and persist within host cells. Phytosomes are lipid-based nano-carriers that can encapsulate essential oils, forming a complex that enhances absorption and bioavailability, helping active compounds reach their intracellular targets more effectively. Phytosomes combine plant extracts or essential oils with phospholipids to form a lipid-compatible complex that is better absorbed through cellular membranes, including those of target cells. Phytosome structures facilitate the transport of active compounds across cell membranes, increasing their intracellular concentration. This feature is particularly useful for targeting pathogens that live inside cells. Phytosomes encapsulated QHN nanoparticles can protect essential oil components from degradation, improving stability and allowing for a controlled release, which helps maintain their antimicrobial effects over time.

Silver, copper, and zinc nanoparticles have shown potential as antimicrobial agents against Mycoplasma and other challenging bacterial infections due to their unique properties. These nanoparticles (NPs) disrupt microbial cells through various mechanisms, making them promising candidates for targeting Mycoplasma, which lacks a cell wall and can evade conventional antibiotics.

Enhanced Penetration: Due to their small size, nanoparticles can penetrate biofilms and reach intracellular pathogens more effectively than conventional drugs.

Reduced Resistance Development: Nanoparticles have multiple mechanisms of action, reducing the likelihood of resistance development in
Mycoplasma.

Synergistic Effects: When combined, these nanoparticles may work synergistically, enhancing their antimicrobial effects.
