Description

NANOSHIELD utilizes synergism between medium chain fatty acid as virus entry blockers, virus maturating protease inhibitor, and immune boosting abilities of the birds for viral disease control. Caprylic acid, α-monolaurin, and lauric acid are medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs) are known for their antiviral, antibacterial, and immune-supporting properties. Caprylic acid can disrupt the lipid membranes of viruses, making it effective against enveloped viruses, which include many of the common viral pathogens affecting poultry. α-Monolaurin is a monoglyceride derived from lauric acid, known for its ability to disrupt viral lipid membranes, thereby inhibiting viral entry and replication. This action is particularly beneficial against enveloped viruses. α-Monolaurin enhances immune response by reducing the viral load and supporting the body’s natural defenses. It has been shown to stimulate the production of white blood cells, which play a key role in fighting infections. Lauric acid is another medium-chain fatty acid known for its ability to disrupt the lipid layers of both bacteria and viruses, making it an effective antimicrobial agent. Lauric acid has been shown to reduce the growth of harmful bacteria in the gut, thereby promoting a healthier microbiome. Lauric acid helps modulate the immune system by activating immune cells, which enhances the bird’s natural ability to fight off infections, particularly viral infections.

When used together, caprylic acid, α-monolaurin, and lauric acid offer a synergistic approach to enhancing poultry health, especially by targeting viral and bacterial infections.

By maintaining gut health and reducing pathogen load, these compounds enhance feed efficiency and growth performance in poultry. Birds experience improved nutrient absorption, leading to better weight gain and overall productivity.

Silver, zinc, and copper nanoparticles have gained significant attention in poultry health for their antiviral and antimicrobial properties. Silver, zinc, and copper nanoparticles provide an effective and multifaceted approach to antiviral protection in poultry. Their combined use offers broad-spectrum activity against viruses and bacteria, boosts immune function, and supports growth performance, making them ideal for sustainable, antibiotic-free poultry production. Each of these nanoparticles disrupts viral structures or interferes with viral replication processes, making them effective as antiviral agents. Silver nanoparticles are known to interfere with viral replication and maturation. They bind to viral proteins and nucleic acids, inhibiting virus attachment and penetration into host cells. Silver nanoparticles can interact with the viral envelope, altering its structure and leading to the inactivation of viral particles. They also produce reactive oxygen species (ROS), which damage viral and microbial cell structures, further inhibiting replication. Zinc is essential for immune function and has been shown to inhibit viral enzymes and proteins involved in replication. Zinc nanoparticles enhance zinc delivery to cells, improving antiviral effects by inhibiting viral entry and replication. Zinc nanoparticles interfere with viral polymerases, enzymes essential for viral genome replication. This inhibition prevents the synthesis of new viral particles and slows down the spread of infection. Copper nanoparticles exhibit strong antiviral activity by generating ROS and disrupting viral proteins. These nanoparticles destabilize viral particles, preventing their ability to replicate and spread.

Allicin and Carpaine are plant-derived compounds with strong antiviral and antimicrobial properties. Their inclusion in poultry feed as virus maturation inhibitors can provide effective support in managing viral infections by interfering with viral replication processes. Allicin disrupts viral replication processes by targeting viral proteins and enzymes essential for viral maturation. It inhibits the formation of mature viral particles, thus reducing viral spread within the host. Carpaine has shown promising effects as a viral maturation inhibitor, targeting stages of viral replication to prevent the formation of mature, infectious particles. It disrupts the final stages of viral assembly, limiting viral spread. Carpaine interferes with viral protein synthesis and processing, hindering viral assembly and maturation within host cells. This action makes it effective in reducing viral load and slowing infection progression. Allicin and carpaine activate immune cells, increasing the birds’ natural resistance to infections. This immune boost helps birds mount a stronger defense against infections.

These phytochemicals are potentiated with ELVITATM technology which are the Quantum Herbal Nanoinfused (QHN) nanoparticles, potentiated herbal biomolecule for its efficacy. Each of these compounds has a unique mechanism for supporting antiviral immunity.

NANOSHIELD with medium-chain fatty, allicin, Carpaine silver & Copper nanoparticles provide a natural alternative to synthetic antiviral agents and antibiotics, supporting sustainable poultry production practices.
